Willie Spencer, Jr.

WILLIE SPENCER, JR., also known as “Junebug” and “Junior,” was born to the late Leona and Willie Spencer, Sr. in Millry, AL on August 30, 1953.  He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother: Lucinna Howell and three dear siblings:  Lucille Wimbley, Charlie Daniels, and Johnny Spencer, all of Waynesboro, MS.

MR. SPENCER is survived by a wonderful and caring sister:  Georgia Everett, brother:  Lenord (“Wee-Wee”) McDougle, Jr.; a devoted stepfather:  Lenord McDougle, Sr., and a special lady:  Eula Mae Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories five children:  Bobby Shon Smith, Annie Marie Cunningham, Kevin (Keshia) Gaines, Kenitra Leggins, and Yobani Brewer; four stepchildren:  Gladys Pickens, Brenda Smith, Belinda Smith, and Hubert Ray Chambers; one godson:  Shun Jones; a close friend:  Kenny Woods, and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke MB Church. Rev. Donald R. Gandy will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Waynesboro Cemetery. 

There will be a viewing period Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
