Wanda Jean McDonald was born on October 11, 1948 to the late Caroline and Jeff Moore in Wayne County, MS. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church of God in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred McDonald, sisters: Mae Ola (WC) McCann of Waynesboro, MS, Bobbie Jean (Charles) Anderson of Buffalo, NY, Helen (Curley) Arrington of Waynesboro, MS; brothers: Charlie C. (Laurlie) Jones, Willie D. Jones, and Hardie D. Jones of Buffalo, NY.
In passing, Ms. Wanda leaves to mourn eight daughters: Glynis (Kevin) Dunn of Jacksonville FL, Wanda (Sean) Gaines, Sherry (Michael, Sr.) Everett , Renee Spencer, Ann (Darnell) Cameron, Laglinda (Freddy) Chaney, Brenda McDonald and Janie McDonald; three sons: David Spencer, Derrick Spencer and Terrick Spencer, 36 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.
She also had some family friends: Robert Young, Eric Pittman, and the late Kenny Ray Kirksey and Steve Jordan.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at New Life Fellowship COGIC in Shubuta, MS with Rev. Terrance Villafranco officiating. Interment followed at Altair Cemetery.
There was a viewing period Friday, August 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home. By request of the family, the service was live-streamed.
