Melvin James Naylor

LIFE began for Mr. Melvin James Naylor in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, April 16, 1946.  He was the son of the late George and Mary Lou (Henley) Naylor. He was employed as a truck driver in the poultry industry until he retired. He was called home Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. 

He was married to the former Diane Lindsey. 
 

He is survived by his wife, Diane; three stepchildren:  Connie Lindsey, Steve Cole, and Shelia Cole-Jones; three sisters:  Carolyn Keyes, Barbara Hayes, and Alice Robinson; and one brother:  Willie Naylor. 
 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lamar Naylor. 
 

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Turner Funeral Home, with Evangelist Al Figgers officiating. Interment will follow at Waynesboro Cemetery. 
 

There will be a viewing period for Mr. Naylor on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Turner Funeral Home.
