MR. MELVIN O. LANG, SR. was born in McIntosh, AL on July 2, 1950, to the union of Elmer ONeal and Beatrice (nee Molten) Lang, who preceded him death. He married his wife, the former Ethel Lee Johnson, who also preceded him in death.
He was employed with Ciba-Geigy in McIntosh, AL until retirement. He was also an Elder of the Living Church of God Pentecostal, Inc.
Mr. Lang loved to fish and cheer on his favorite college football team, the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) in his spare time.
Mr. Lang transitioned April 13, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his children, who consist of three sons: Melvin, Jr., Derrick, and Andre; two daughters: Leneisha and Alana; 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Living Church of God Pentecostal in Buckatunna, MS. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in State Line, MS.
There will be a viewing period Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Living Church of God Pentecostal in Buckatunna, MS.
