Mary Jane Daniels

SISTER Mary J. Daniels was born November 11, 1951 to late Mrs. Julia and Mr. Fred Rankin, Sr. Sis. Mary joined the Sweet Hope Baptist Church at an early age.  She was a homemaker.  Mary passed into eternity on May 10, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by her loving family.

Sis. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father:  Julia and Fred Rankin, Sr.; her husband:  Charlie Daniels; seven sisters:  Wanda Sargent, Lucille Vaughter, Quillie Mae Roberts, Dorothy McGay, Gladys Kittler, Jessie Orange-Gill, and Virginia Rankin; four brothers:  Arthur Rankin, Fred Rankin Jr., and twin boys Rankin; one grandson:  Jumarus Daniels; one stepdaughter:  Michelle Stokes, and one stepson:  Leon Hayes.

She leaves to cherish her memories a special friend:  Lawrence Hayes, Sr.; two daughters:  Marilyn (Michael) Bates of Tylertown, MS and Denica Daniels of Hattiesburg, MS; two sons:  Mark Rankin of Texas and Deon Daniels of Waynesboro, MS; one stepdaughter:  Lynetta Hayes of Waynesboro MS; two stepsons:  Lawrence Hayes, Jr. and Ronald Hayes of Waynesboro, MS; two sisters:  Willie Mae Rankin Loper and Janie Pacely of Waynesboro, MS; 23 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Daniels will occur Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sweet Hope MB Church, with Bro. Chris Dukes as the officiant. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens.
 

There will be a viewing for Mrs. Daniels Monday, May 16, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
