Margaret (Hayes) Savoy

“JUST GONE FISHING.”

Mrs. Margaret Savoy, age 57, of Waynesboro MS, departed this earthly life to be present with the Lord Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Meridian, MS. 

Margaret was born on February 5, 1965 in Waynesboro MS to Margarette Bailey and Shelton Hayes. 
 

Margaret was a loving and caring person who would give the shirt off her back if needed. She loved to fish, search rummage sales, and go for rides in the country. Margaret was a very outspoken person-whatever she thought was coming out. 
 

Most of all, she loved her family. 
 

She leaves to mourn her passing three sons:  Lewis Hayes, Dont’e McGill, and Jonathan McGill.  She is also survived by two sisters:  Leva M. LeGier, Manda Hayes, and a host of nieces, nephews, and three grandsons. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Magnolia Baptist Church in Waynesboro, with Rev. Donald R. Gandy as the officiant. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. 
 

There will be a viewing period for Mrs. Savoy today (Wednesday) from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
