“Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”-Nehemiah 8:30.
KEN’DARIUS was born on August 24, 1995 in Waynesboro, MS to Kenya Gaines and Yamani Patton.
Ken’Darius, better known as “Li’l Man,” was well known and loved by many. “Li’l Man” also had another nickname, “Una,” that was given to him by Diane Bishop. She started calling him that before he was even born. He was a cook at Hardee’s and KFC, and he also worked at the local Family Dollar store.
He loved music and playing video games, but most of all, he enjoyed cooking. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making us all laugh and forgetting any sorrows we may have had. Don’t mourn him but instead, rejoice in his glory. Remember his warm smile and mild mannered disposition. For now, he no longer had anything to fear or keep him down. Celebrate his life and remember his warm, loving smile.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Kenya Gaines (Joe Bishop), and his father, Yamani Patton of Waynesboro MS; his maternal grandmother: Jessie Arrington and his paternal grandparents: Urma Johnson and Bobby Carlisle; two brothers: Gregory (Elektra) Gaines and Stephon (Kayla) Stevens, Jr.; three half sisters: Precious Jones, Takeyla and Shakeyla Mason; one half brother: Azavia Jones; two step sisters: Le’Kishia (Cedric) Powe and Dyesha McLaughlin; three step brothers: Zackery Bishop, Derrick (Shakena) Bishop, and Joseph McLaughlin. He also leaves to cherish his memories his aunts and uncles with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with one special friend, Kendall Everett.
Funeral services for Mr. Kendarius Gaines will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Waynesboro Cemetery. Rev. Johnny R. Edwards will officiate the services.
