DEACON JIM ED WOULARD’S journey on Earth came to an end on May 21, 2023.
Jim, affectionately known as “Baldy,” was born March 19, 1953 to the late Willie B. and Mary Lee Woulard. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Mellow Chambers, Willie Mae Harris, and Voncile Washam, and four brothers: Frank Woulard, John Woulard, Willie B. Woulard Jr., and James Woulard.
Jim was united in holy matrimony to Velma (nee Bounds) Woulard on April 14, 1979. He worked for Kimberly Clark for 19 years.
He was a member of the New Friendship MB Church of Waynesboro MS. He served as a Deacon.
Jim’s memories will forever be cherished by his wife: Velma Woulard of Shubuta MS; his stepson: Charles (Penelope) Bounds and step granddaughter: Chantel Bounds both of Schenectady NY; three brothers: Horace Woulard of Buckatunna, MS, Curtis Woulard of Quitman, MS and Richard (Gwen) Woulard of State Line, MS; one sister: Francine (Jessie) of Waynesboro MS; three brothers in law, three sisters in law, a special niece: Teretha Abney of Waynesboro MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will miss him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Pineville MB Church in Waynesboro, with Rev. George Barnett as the officiant. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
There will be a viewing period Friday afternoon, May 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
