I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 

The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

Jeffrey Dale "Nub" Bolton

May 18, 1959 - August 27, 2023

Jeffrey Dale Bolton was born on May 18, 1959 in Beaumont Mississippi to the late Mr. Elijah Bolton, Sr and Mrs. Mattie Bolton. He gained his wings at Forrest General Hospital on August 27th, 2023 to spend an eternity with our Lord.

 Jeffrey was a believer in Christ joined Bolton chapel United Methodist Church at an early age. He loved life and always had a smile on his face. Jeffrey often referred to his eldest sister, Dorothy, as a second mother, whom was always only a call away.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing and building things with his best friends, Michael McGilvery and David Bolton.  Later in life, he married his sweetheart, Teresa Holmes, whom he loved very much until her passing in 2022. Jeffrey was quick to offer help to anyone who needed it, including helping to build the steps of his daughter's  new home with Micheal. 

Jeffrey was the youngest of ten children and always received whatever he desired from his siblings, especially his sisters. He loved his siblings very much by whom he was often referred to as "Nub".

 Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother and father Elijah Bolton Sr. and Mattie Bolton; his wife, Teresa Holmes; a daughter, Erica Jackson; a sister,  Mildred Holmes; 2 brothers, Elijah Bolton II and David Bolton. 

He leaves to cherish his memory:  1 daughter,  Amanda Fairley-Evans (Jermaine), a Bonus daughter, Valerie Holmes;  1 son, Kevin Holmes; 5 sisters: Dorothy McGilvery, Willie Gayle Cooley, Hazel Brown, Dixie (Vardmus) Bolton, and Winnie Mattox; 1 brother,  Edward Lee Bolton (Anna); 14 grandchildren & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bolton Cemetery in Beaumont, MS with Rev. Scotty Dailey as the officiant.  There will be a viewing period Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont, MS.
