MR. JAMES BREAZEALE was a man who truly enjoyed his work. As the owner and operator of his own scrap metal yard, he relished in the day to day operations of his business until he retired. Born as one of four children to the union of the late Mr. Grover and Mrs. Merle Breazeale on April 7, 1937, he joined the United States Air Force upon graduating from high school.
He was married to his wife, Rita Ann, for 33 years until her passing on December 14, 2017.
On the evening of July 17, 2023, God called Mr. Breazeale to his eternal home at Care Center of Laurel.
Mr. Breazeale is survived by two sons: Ricky (Tammy) Breazeale of Mobile, AL and Mark Breazeale of Mississippi; one stepdaughter: Cindy (Andy) Slaughter of Ellisville, MS; two stepsons: Larry (Paula) Landrum and Gus (Petra) Landrum, both of Laurel, MS; six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Breazeale was preceded in death by his three brothers: Royce Breazeale, Richard Breazeale, and Conrad Breazeale.
Funeral services will take place Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church in Ellisville, MS, with Bro. Johnny Bryant officiating.
There will be a viewing period for Mr. Breazeale Friday, July 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church prior to the funeral.
