Obituary
J. R. Pitts, 81, of Shubuta passed away at his loving sister’s residence on April 17, 2022.
Born on November 15, 1940 to Early and Maudie Pitts, he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He served in the Army for four years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
After his tenure in the Army, he worked in the oilfield for many years.
He is survived by his loving sister, Doris Hudson of Waynesboro, two nieces and a nephew, a host of great nieces and nephews, and a host of great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Early and Maudie Pitts; siblings Roland Pitts, Archie Pitts, Bennie Pitts, baby brother Pitts, baby sister Pitts, along with a niece, Lynn Pitts.
There will be a memorial service held Sunday, April 24, 2022 after the 11:00 AM worship service at Trinity First Baptist Church, with Bro. Ron Swindell as the officiant.
