Herman Lemar Winborn

MR. HERMAN LEMAR WINBORN was born in State Line, MS to the late Woodie and Mae Winborn.  He departed this life on September 9, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.  He was a retired welder at Ingalls Shipyard.

He was preceded in death by the late Voncile Winborn, his parents:  Woodie and Mae Winborn; one daughter:  Catherine Winborn; one grandson:  Tyrus Winborn, and four brothers:  James Smith, Climson Winborn, Earvin Winborn, and Thomas Winborn.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  one daughter:  LeeTasha (Bryant) Warren of State Line, MS; two sons:  Lashawn (Marquita) Winborn of Meridian, MS, and Michael Winborn of State Line, MS; six grandchildren:  Desmond Winborn, Davion Winborn, DaShawn Winborn, Marshawn Winborn, Deyshawn Winborn, and Bryunna Warren; five sisters:  Jessie Summers of Moss Point, MS, Brenda (David) Matthews of Portland, OR, Janetic (Joseph) Davis of pascagoula, MS, Mildred (Gerome) Poole of State Line, MS, Beatrice McDonald of Mobile, Al, Alissia (Gregory) Wash of State Line, MS, and one brother:  Frankie Winborn of State Line, MS; two special friends:  Bobby Lee Smith, Terry Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1;00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in State Line, MS, with Pastor Cedric Smith officiating.  Interment followed at State Line Cemetery.

There was a viewing period Friday, September 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, and Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in State Line, MS.
