Henry Earl Loper
Obituary
Mr. Henry Earl Loper was born to the late Jerry Loper and Beulah Williams on March 28, 1940. After some time in high school, he worked as a laborer in the pulpwood industry.
In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish.
He was very close to his brother, the late Mr. Melvin “Goat” Sims, and after Mr. Sims’ passing, he’d reflect on their close bond.
On August 18, 2023, Mr. Loper transitioned to eternity at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.
In addition to his parents and brother, Mr. Sims, he was also preceded in death by one sister: Ollie T. Loper, and six other brothers: Glenn Loper, Robert Loper, Sr., Terrell Loper, Oscar Williams, L. J. Williams, and James Williams.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and a close friend, Rebecca Hardy.
Funeral services for Mr. Loper will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in State Line, with interment following at State Line Cemetery. There will be a viewing period Friday, September 1, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, and a viewing period Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in State Line.
