Frankie Nell Dawkins

Frankie Nell was born in Waynesboro, MS on September 24, 1939.  She was raised, by her loving parents Loyd and Georgia Hundley, along with her two sisters, Willie Etta and Diane. She married Henry Earl Dawkins of Waynesboro, MS in May of 1958.  After moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, they later built their life together in sunny Los Angeles, CA. Frankie worked as a nurse before acquiring a position with the Los Angeles Unified School District where she dedicated over 35 years of service as an Educational Aide at McKinley Avenue Elementary School.  Together, Henry and Frankie raised eight children (Henry Jr., Jeffrey, Martin, Kimberley, Keenan, Aqual, Audia, and Darandall). They were also blessed with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, Frankie Nell peacefully transitioned to her eternal home while at home in the company of family.  Her viewing will take place at Turner Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5-7 p.m.  The funeral will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS.  Interment will follow at Waynesboro Cemetery.
