Eric Jermain Blakely

HEAVENLY MANIFESTATION-leaving is like a lonely blossom in a briar patch. No bitterness, but a manifestation of joy and pain. Unexpected like a strange fruit too ripe for a poison tree. If we took the time to connect the dots, we could plot the true shape of your heart. Humility and humbleness of your heart produced a smile vibrant with the sun. Your soul was like that of a dove-calm, pure, and a manifestation of love. Take flight as your departure from the soul. May your wings spring back like the morning dew, coasting down the petals in a rose patch. 
 

ERIC JERMAIN BLAKELY was born to the late Mr. Henry Washam and Ruby Blakely on May 31, 1990. He departed this life on August 3, 2022. 
 

Jermain was known to be giving, exceedingly kind with a soul as humble as a blue bird. He was so down to earth but with a peculiar personality. Jermain could charm anyone with his big bright welcoming smile.  He had a passion for antique vehicles and loved his music.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending all the time that he could with his family. Jermain was an awesome, son, husband, father, and so much more.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Labarron Smith.

Graveside services for Mr. Eric Jermain Blakely will take place Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at New West Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS, with Rev. Cecil Jackson as the officiating minister.

Mr. Blakely, 32, of Waynesboro, transitioned August 3, 2022 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. He was employed as a car wash attendant. 
 

There will be a viewing period for Mr. Blakely Friday, August 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
