Emerson Jordan Obituary

Emerson was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi on April 17, 1942 to parents Reverend J.A. Jordan and Ola (Whigham) Jordan. He migrated to Sandusky with his parents and siblings. While in Sandusky he attended Sandusky Perkins school system. As an adult he worked at Waldock's Meat Packing Corporation. Emerson was known for being well dressed and driving nice cars. Emerson was an avid reader and writer.

Emerson was proceeded in death by his parents Reverend J.A. Jordan and Olar (Whigham) Jordan. His siblings Robert Lee Jordan Sr. (Annie Mae), L.V. Jordan, Sr. (Stella Mae), Eloise Evans (Velma), Arthur Lee Jordan, Airy B. Blakely (Elmer, Mattie B. Jenkins (Benjamin "Ben"), Deloise Jordan Blaking (Jack), Willie B. Young (Oreason), Leola Butler John L). He leaves to mourn his sister Vietta Smith (James"Smitty") and his son Reverend Eric Darnell Jordan (Sheila). Grandchildren Eric Jr., Erica, Tiarous, Kendal Jr. and Kiaira. Great grandchildren Braylen, Norah, Tula and Kendal III. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Turner Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Pickens officiating.   Interment will follow at New West Cemetery. 

There will be a viewing period Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home. 
 

By request of the family, Mr. Jordan’s funeral service will be live-streamed on December 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM (CST).
