A TIME TO BE BORN: Douglas J. Hall was born in Jones County, MS on August 25, 1969 to Mary L. Blakley Hall and Johnny Hall. He was known as “Fresh” or “Douggie Fresh” to many of his friends.
A TIME TO DIE: Douglas bid a peaceful farewell to this world Friday, May 20, 2022.
A TIME TO MOURN: his mother, Mary L. Hall-Pickens, his father, Johnny Hall, a sister, Lisa Hall, and his stepfather, Henry L. Pickens, all preceded him in death.
A TIME TO CHERISH: precious memories remain with those who love him. Among these are his loving daughter, Creeanna Koen of Hattiesburg MS; two sisters: Annette Curtis of Hampton VA, and Gloria (Bobby) Everett of Waynesboro MS; two brothers: Willie James Hall and Prince Blakley of Waynesboro MS; grandmother: Corine Blakley of Waynesboro MS, aunts: Bonnie Mae Smith, Annie Peal Johnson, Katherine Blakley, Eddie Jo (Ronnie) Hill, Annie Grace (Willie) Wiley, and one uncle: Edward Blakley, all of Waynesboro MS. He also leaves a devoted cousin, Millie Faye Lampley and two very close friends: Bobby Richey and Timmy “Red” Hundley, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at New West Cemetery in Waynesboro MS. Rev. Willie Kinslow will officiate the services.
There will be a viewing period for Mr. Hall Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
