Cyrie DuBose, affectionately known as “Bubba,” was born December 9, 1942, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Robbie Lee and Eugene DuBose. He succumbed to a long-term illness on November 5, 2023, 6:50 a.m. at Ochsner Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.
Cyrie confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Nebo Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi and remained a member at Blue Mountain Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sonya DuBose; and stepdaughter, Belinda Davis.
He worked as a welder at Caterpillar in Deerfield, Illinois for 30 years until his retirement.
Cyrie leaves to cherish his memories his loving and dedicated wife of 45 years, Mary DuBose; three sons, Henri DuBose, Doyald DuBose, and Montague (Janice) DuBose; two daughters, Lefloris (McArthur) Jemison, and Dimetra (Taredeious) Canada; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen Conner and Rose Scott; 5 brothers-in-law, Charles Davis, Eddie Davis, Robert (Marie) Davis, Godfrey (Connie) Davis, and Jessie Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be a viewing period for Mr. DuBose Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Turner Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS.
