Obituary
Mr. Charles Smith was born on June 9, 1939 in Toomsboro, GA to the union of the late Mr. Eugene and Dora B. (nee Butler) Smith. He was one of ten children.
Mr. Smith worked as a mechanic for Scott Paper Co. until he retired. During his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and camping. Mr. Smith, during his lifetime, relished the great outdoors.
On July 9, 2023, Mr. Smith passed into eternity at SAAD Hospice in Mobile, AL.
He is survived by his children: Chris (Beverly) Lewis, Jimmy Smith, Eric (Stacey) Smith, Kim Smith, and Billy (Rhonda) Smith; 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, one great great grandchild: Christopher Curry, one brother: Earnest Smith, two sisters: Mary Lee Smith and Katie Mae Bostic, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by three brothers: J. R. Smith, Tommy Lee Smith, and Clarence Smith, and three sisters: Alberta Holmes, Mattie Mae Turner, and Luverta Barnes.
