“I MADE IT HOME”

I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. 
The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it didn’t take too long. 
Everything is so white, so fresh, so new.

I wish that you could close your eyes so you could see it too. 
Please try not to be sad for me. 
Try to understand. 
God is taking care of me…I’m in the shelter of His hands. 
Here, there is no sadness, no sorrow, no pain. 
Here, there is no crying, and I’ll never hurt again. 
Here, it is so peaceful, when all the angels sing. 
I really have to go now…

…I’ve just got to try my wings. 
 

BILLY RAY WILLIAMS was born on February 1, 1953 to Oscar and Mary Williams in State Line, MS. He departed this life on September 16, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital. 
 

BILLY RAY graduated from State Line High School in 1971. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge. During his tenure in the military, he received many awards and certifications of achievements, including highest rating of the National Fire Protection in the academy. 
 

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Ray Williams will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chicora-Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Chicora community (Buckatunna, MS). Rev. Steven Willis will officiate the services. 
 

Mr. Williams, 69, of Shubuta, passed away September 16, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a former correctional officer and veteran of the United States Air Force. 
 

There will be a viewing for Mr. Williams Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
