Sister Betty Jean Lacey McGill of Buckatunna, Mississippi was born December 31, 1957 to the late George and Rhoda Lacey. She transitioned from this life on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her home. Sister McGill was a member of The Pentecostal Church of God of Waynesboro, Mississippi where she served faithfully as a praying woman. She was preceded in death by her husband Elder Clyde McGill.
She graduated Buckatunna High school in 1976 and earned a master’s degree in Education. She retired from the Wayne County School District after 28 years of service.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter Yolanda (Reginald) Stewart, Jeremy (Anjelica) McGill, Erik (Bianca) McGill and Clydarian McGill and three bonus children Chanda (Willie) Watts, Tamela (Charlie) McDougle and Sedrick (Shonda) West. She also leaves to cherish her memories 11 Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren.
Family Hours and viewing will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be Monday, October 30, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
The repast will be at The Pentecostal Church of God,
212 Turner Street, Waynesboro MS.
