Obituary
MRS. ANNIE JEAN JONES was born March 12, 1941 in Indianola, MS to the late Mr. Clayton Nunn, Sr. and Mrs. Carrie (nee Napier) Nunn. She was a devoted wife to Timothy “Sonny Boy” Jones.
She joined Zion Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age where she was an active member until her health failed.
She was employed by Lakeside Living Center as a CNA until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers: Calvin Nunn, Spencer Nunn, and Clayton Nunn, Jr.
She departed this life on March 27, 2022 at 1:45 AM at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS.
She leaves to cherish her memory six sisters: Jewelen Johnson, Eartha Coleman, Irene Williams, Debbie Nunn, Lisa Nunn, and Bale Nunn all of Indianapolis, IN; one brother: Wiley Nunn of Huntsville, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Zion Chapel Cemetery in the Crandall community (Quitman), with Rev. Marjorie Walker as the officiant.
Mrs. Jones, 80, of Quitman, passed away March 28, 2022 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was a retired Certified nurse’s aide.
There will be a wake for Mrs. Jones Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
