Ada Lee Powell

Mrs. Ada Powell, 87, was born January 11, 1935 to Mrs. Neola Price in Shubuta, MS. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church. She attended Shubuta School. After her school days, she moved to New Orleans, LA. She resided there until 1965 when she moved to Toledo, Ohio to care for her uncle. Ada resided there until her passing in May, 2022. 

Ada was a homemaker who loved Jesus Christ and family. Her hobbies included fishing, shopping, traveling, and meeting people. She found pleasure in talking to people. 
 

Her mother and stepfather, Mrs. Neola P. Miles and Mr. Aaron Miles, Sr.; two husbands, and a brother preceded Ada in death. 
 

Ada’s memories will forever be cherished by her loving brothers, Aaron (Mary) Miles, Jr. of Waynesboro, MS, and James E. Miles, Sr. of Shubuta, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended relatives and cousins. 

Funeral/memorial services for Mrs. Ada Powell will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald R. Gandy as the officiant. 
 

Mrs. Powell, 87, a Toledo OH resident formerly of Shubuta MS, passed away at her home on May 14, 2022. She was a homemaker.
